Cinch for Chromecast App Reviews

Fine for basic use, but Its not very robust--you use it for a while, it will stop playing. To be fair, I havent found a similar app that doesnt fail randomly, but this is not worth $5.

Works decently, but cant play music genres and has a lot of bugs when it come to playing music and especially the first rack. Tends to stop playing songs after 10 minutes.

This is the exact app Ive been waiting for since I bought my chromecast.

They should include this app when you buy a Chromecast. Its great.

Cast from my own music library, including playlist without having to build a playlist like other apps. Shuffles and repeats easily. Also can cast downloaded podcast. Streaming is easy and rarely buffers.

Its convenient for me but, it still crashes sometimes and doesnt play some songs I select to play so over all its a great app.

very slow, i could rarely cast something, but fine on its own.

Great UI design and simple to use, but either wont start casting or requires restart of the tv, disconnect/reconnect to chromecast, or shutting my phone off and restarting it after i play one thing and want to change to the next. Too buggy and unreliable for my taste.

App stops working after I play first song. Have to constantly close app and re-open app to work properly.

Only takes a few seconds to buffer music to my Chromecast. Works great with casting music, just what I was looking for!

There are better alternatives for the same price; this one is slow and wont play at times.

You cannot play the songs in iPad or iPhone. Be aware... Apple does not allow to cast songs.

I can’t get this app to work for me. I purchased it to cast music stored on my phone to my Chromecast Audio, and it simply won’t cast. Both my audio and video Chromecasts appear as options, however tapping them does nothing and it won’t connect. I’ll be attempting to get a refund. On a sidenote, I don’t know why nobody can get this right, but when you’re viewing your music by artist, it just displays all of the songs for that artist alphabetically. I would like to be able to browse by artist > album > track number like every other music player.

The app is ok but there are a few things that I personally think could make it better. Instead of having the bright orange screen when music is being played make it customizable and let us the user have more freedom with the app. Another thing is there should be a repeat button, the music only plays for the duration of the album or song then stops, it would be a little more convenient to have a chance to replay/repeat. The final issue I have is I think the connection between the app and Google chrome could be improved maybe its my phone or wifi but other apps that Ive used that are free have a better connection than this app. In all actuality I dont think this app is worth the money.

Ive long been frustrated with the limitations of ChromeCast and iOS -- for example, that you cant even cast Chrome to ChromeCast! Cinch has started to break things open...a bit. Photos and videos can be cast, but you have to select and cast a single photo at a time, and each one takes a while to appear. No quick moving from one photo to the next, much less a slide show. Im hopeful that updates will gradually improve things, but its not there yet. One minor issue: I left guest mode on in the ChromeCast app, but Cinch locked up the screen with its logo. The problem went away when I deselected guest mode.

Worst app ever! Does not let you stream movies you purchased, just videos you taken from your device! Can I have my money back?

When it works this app is great. Simple interface and does what you want. But it doesnt work all the time - maybe only 85%

Needs better artwork support, but undisputed for Chromecast music and playlist compatibility. PS Lose the Orange.
